Privacy notice
Version 0.1, 31 October 2026. This is the notice for the early release; it grows as the tool does.
AI Policy Creator is run by Houghton Consulting. In this early release the public pages collect no personal data at all: there are no accounts, no forms, no uploads, no cookies and no analytics.
What the public pages do
- They load fonts, images and scripts from this site only. Nothing is fetched from Google, social networks or advertisers.
- If you choose light or dark mode, your browser remembers the choice on your own device. It is never sent to us.
- Our host, Vercel, keeps ordinary server logs (such as the time of a request and your IP address) for a short period to keep the site secure and working.
The owner area
A private area is used by the site owner to plan the work. It uses Google sign-in, limited to one account, and a session cookie that exists only after that sign-in. Visitors never receive it.
Where data is kept
The site is hosted on Vercel and its private files are stored in the European Union (Dublin).
What will change
Later releases will let you save a policy and upload documents. Before any of that goes live, this notice will say what is held, why, for how long and how to have it deleted, and you will see it before you give us anything.
Your rights and who to ask
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how it is used. Write to joe.houghton@gmail.com. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland at dataprotection.ie.
